Wollongong University

  About Us

The Graduate School of Medicine (GSM) at the University of Wollongong is spread across two picturesque campuses, Wollongong and Shoalhaven. Each campus provides state of the art medical education facilities. In January 2007 the GSM welcomed its first cohort of 84 students. Today there are over 250 students who are proud to be a part of the GSM. The school has been structured in a way to help address the workforce shortage in rural areas. Over the four year course students are provided with the opportunity to experience regional and rural medicine during clinical placements in areas such as Illawarra, Shoalhaven, Southern Highlands, Broken Hill and the North Coast. However students graduating from the GSM will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to allow them to practice in any geographical location.
